Refund & Cancellation Policy
The Tampa Dance Factory, LLC (“The Tampa Dance Factory,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to providing a professional, organized, and high-quality experience for every student and guest. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how bookings, memberships, classes, private lessons, workshops, and events are handled.
By purchasing or reserving services with The Tampa Dance Factory, you agree to the following policy.
1. General Policy
All purchases are generally non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in writing by The Tampa Dance Factory.
Because class spots, instructor time, and event capacity are reserved in advance, missed appointments and late cancellations impact availability for others.
At our sole discretion, we may issue account credit in select circumstances.
2. Group Classes
Cancellation Window
Group class reservations must be canceled or rescheduled at least 2 hours before the scheduled start time.
Late Cancellations
Reservations canceled less than 2 hours before class may result in forfeiture of the class credit, pass, or payment used.
No-Shows
Failure to attend without cancellation may result in 100% forfeiture of the booking.
3. Private Lessons
Cancellation Window
Private lessons must be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time.
Late Cancellations
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the lesson may result in full forfeiture of the session or payment.
No-Shows
Failure to attend a scheduled private lesson without notice may result in 100% forfeiture.
4. Memberships
Memberships may include recurring billing, attendance limits, class credits, or promotional terms depending on the plan selected.
Specific membership terms, including renewal, freeze options, cancellation procedures, and billing cycles, will be disclosed at the time of purchase.
Unless otherwise stated:
Membership fees already paid are non-refundable
Unused classes or benefits do not create cash refunds
Failure to attend does not pause billing unless an approved freeze policy applies
5. Class Packs & Credits
Class packs, promotional passes, and account credits:
Are non-refundable
May have expiration dates
Are non-transferable unless approved at the sole discretion of The Tampa Dance Factory
Have no cash value unless required by law
Unused credits may expire according to the package terms purchased.
6. Workshops, Events & Special Programs
Special events, socials, workshops, intensives, and guest instructor programs may have separate refund terms announced at registration.
Unless otherwise stated:
Tickets are non-refundable
Transfers may be permitted on a case-by-case basis
Account credit may be offered at our discretion
7. If We Cancel
If Tampa Dance Factory cancels a class, private lesson, or eligible event, we may provide one of the following remedies:
Rescheduled booking
Replacement class/session
Account credit
Refund, when we determine appropriate
8. Medical or Emergency Requests
We understand unexpected circumstances happen. Refund or credit requests due to illness, injury, or emergencies may be considered but are not guaranteed.
Documentation may be requested in some cases.
9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Customers agree to contact The Tampa Dance Factory first to resolve billing concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
Improper chargebacks after valid agreement to these policies may result in suspension of booking privileges or collection efforts where permitted by law.
10. Policy Changes
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. Updated versions become effective when posted on our website.
